of the Spring, the warmth of the Summer and the beauty of changing colors in the Fall.
On trails, two-tracks and dirt roads. Come early/stay late – horse camping, showers and a
swimming lake are available. Come, enjoy the new trails! There are more to come!
Head Vet/Judge’s decision is final. All rides will conform to UMECRA, AERC, IAHA, OAATS and APHC
standards. Negative Coggins test is required.
SPRING RIDE:
Vet-in: May 5, Late afternoon
Early Entry Deadline: April 28, 2023
May 6, Saturday: 50 Endurance, 25 LD, 25 Competitive, 10 Intro, 15 Novice
May 7, Sunday: 50 Endurance, 25 LD, 25 Competitive
SEASONAL HIGH MILEAGE AWARD:
Prize awarded for the Equine Team with the most miles. (A team is combination of 1 horse and 1 rider.) Total of all
completed mileage in Intro, Limited Distance, Endurance and Competitive Trail throughout the season.
POTLUCK:
At all rides, Saturday’s awards ceremonies will include a potluck dinner at approximately 6 pm. Please bring a dish to pass.
Meat Dish will be provided.
At the Labor Day ride, Sunday’s awards will be presented around 6:30 pm, dinner is on your own.

NOTES:
• If using pens/corrals – horses are limited two per pen, preferably one – no exceptions
• All junior riders are required to wear a helmet, everyone else should – if you need one ask
• Non AERC members will pay a $20 surcharge per Endurance or Limited Distance ride in addition
to above entry fees
• $10 additional charge for late entries (after early entry deadline)
• Intro and Novice ride participants must register and prepay in advance. Please contact
Becke at beckeg@aol.com for more information.
• †There must be at least three prepaid entries by Aug. 7 for the 100 mile ride.
• *There must be at least three entries for each 35 mile Competitive to be held. (25 mile available every day)

RIDE LOCATION:
Do not use GPS for this location, as it WILL NOT get you there – it will get you stuck in mud on a seasonal road
• From the West: at the M-20 and M-120 intersection in Hesperia, go east on M-20 approximately 2.75
miles to Green Ave. Turn North/left on Green, it’s the only way you can go…
• From the East: at M-20 and M-37 intersection (just North of White Cloud), go West on M-20 approximately 10.5 miles to Green Ave. Turn North/right on Green, it’s the only way you can go.
Go 4 miles North on Green to 5 Mile Rd. Stay on 5 Mile until it dead-ends at Warner Ave. Turn North/
left on Warner Ave. Go approximately 1/4 mile to Timbers Edge Campground on the West/left side.
CAMPING:
There is a camping fee – Timbers Edge Campground, call Pat for reservations and pricing 231-854-0092.
Primitive and electric sites, showers, playground, horse-shoe pits and three acre lake with beach area.
All dogs must be on a leash and under control at all times, please don’t bring to potluck
HORSES ARE LIMITED TO 1 OR 2 PER PEN/CORRAL – NO EXCEPTIONS
