Looking for something fun and new to do with your horse? Want to ride with fun people and explore new places? Maybe distance riding is the sport for you!

What is distance riding?

It’s a sport where you ride a predetermined course within a specific time frame. Distances start at 25 miles up to 100 miles in one day! Intro and Novice rides are typically 5-15 miles.

Clinicians Barb Kurti (Tevis Cup finisher) and Maureen Fehr D.V.M., along with many other Michigan distancer riders will cover the following topics and more!

  • What are distance riding events?
  • How to feed and condition your horse
  • Understanding the vet check, pulse, respiration
  • What to expect when you get to ride camp

An early-bird cost is $75 for ages 17 and up, and $50 for ages 16 and under. Price on the day of the event increases by $15, so please pay and register before March 31, 2022! Payment is due via paypal at time of registering: oakleafrun@gmail.com (Barb Kurti, whose other contact details are listed if any other information is required). Register at Sign Up Genius. Refunds can be issued if notified 1 day in advance.
